MAFI Engine Room Ventilation System For New River Cat Ferry

We are proud to have supplied the ventilation system for the about to be commissioned Brisbane River City Cat. While it is exciting to be shipping our systems all over the world, it's always special when you get on a local boat and our grilles are protecting their engine room equipment.

This new vessel destined for a life of service on the Brisbane River has not just our engine room ventilation equipment but also carries one of our latest products, our roof mounted fresh air module. These new roof mounted fresh air ventilation modules are designed for areas where fresh air and not air conditioning is required. It's perfect for ferries operating in more temperate climates or for ferries that go shorter distances.

This vessel also utilises our new Stainless Steel Drop Flap style Air Dampers. These allow personal access as well as functioning as an Air Damper. This saves space and expensive additional equipment purchases along with saving on added installation costs. On a typical Ferry Cat this saves 4 expensive deck access hatches.

This project also uses our latest Intake Separator Grille Combination, with an inbuilt air duct mounting a pair of DC Compact Fans (producing approx 1400 l/sec) capable of supporting approx 700 Hp in a typical ferry.
