FAQ's About Working With Marine Air Flow
Do we need to sign a contract?
No, we understand that requirements are based around your own orders so we do not require contracts.
However we do require a 50% deposit prior to commencing any work and the final 50% is paid prior to dispatch. This allows us to keep our costs reasonable.
How many days do I have to pay?
We don't run a typical accounts process.
50% deposit of the invoice is due prior to the project starting production, with the final 50% due prior to dispatch.
Can I organise an alternative method of payment?
We accept credit card payments (on Australian orders only), direct deposits and international transfers.
All our export invoices are created in USD. Credit card payments for invoices in excess of $10,000 will incur a surcharge.
We have to run an account, can you help us?
Unfortunately to keep our prices competitive we don't run accounts.
However you can pre-order and pay off the invoice prior to despatch.
What is your lead time?
Lead times start at a little as 3 weeks pending on how complex the system is. We stock a large qty of product to be ready for quick turn around.
More complex systems require design time as well as your approval so this lead time for larger projects is longer. Currently it sits about about 8-10 weeks for one off projects.
However if you become a regular client with standardised orders we will work out an annual plan for supply to specific dates.
Can I use my own freight company?
Of course. This will require that you book your own freight and just use us as a pickup location.
Please be aware we are not open Fridays for freight pickups.
Will I have my own point of contact with Marine Air Flow?
Typically, yes. You will deal with either Mark or Alex for design and development and once your project has gone into production if they are not available for some reason, our Operations team can help.
Can I contact you out of hours
By all means, however you do need to be aware that we only respond or act upon enquiries between the hours of 6am to 4:30pm Monday~Thursday AEST.
We work a 4 day week and aren't in the factory on Fridays.
We are very protective of our 4 day week and have never had it present a challenge before.
