why MARINE AIR FLOW

The Engine Room Ventilation Specialists

Marine Air Flow International has been in the maritime industry for 20 years.

We are market leaders in marine engine room ventilation systems and export globally from our base on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Our products include:

We have been involved in many large projects for Penguin Shipyards, Auships, Dongara Marine, Hart Marine, PT Lundin (North Sea Boats) & Norman Wright and Sons. These projects have encompassed Police, Military & Defence, Ferries, Workboats and Shipping applications.

On a recreational basis we are standard equipment in all new Riviera Boats. We often refit older recreational vessels and design and supply engine room ventilation systems to a large number of luxury white boats and super yachts. We also create engine room systems for Sirena Marine in Türkiye, who produce some of the most beautiful mid size luxury boats on the market.

Operating with sustainable
growth and
GREEN products

Sustainability is a key part of our approach. Wherever possible, we use green materials such as environmentally friendly aluminium, helping to reduce our footprint without compromising on performance or durability. We believe that responsible sourcing and innovative material choices are essential to building a cleaner future for the marine industry.

We are committed to doing our part in lessening the impact on our vital eco systems. The ocean has supported us for our entire careers and we are fully dedicated to ensuring that we do our bit in maintaining this precious earth.

We try to order only what we need and combine shipping where possible. In addition to this we love to use local suppliers where possible to both support our own community and avoid the extra handling and freight that external orders create.

Ongoing Training and Equipment Evolution

Our team is diverse in both skills, culture and education levels. We know that this is a key to our success. Having differing opinions, trade skills and outlooks allows us to embrace diversity as a driver for our development and day to day operations.

We are constantly improving our processes and equipment which enables us to also improve our range and product output.

We also recognise that our team’s wellbeing directly influences the quality of our work. That’s why we operate on a four-day work week, giving our people the time and space to enjoy life outside the workplace. This approach fosters balance, focus, and long-term satisfaction, which translates into better outcomes for our clients.

Continuous improvement is at the heart of our operations. We invest in ongoing training and development, ensuring our team is equipped with the latest skills, knowledge, and technology to work safer and more productively. By staying ahead of industry advancements, we can deliver exceptional results while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Our strength also lies in our diversity. Marine Air Flow International is proud to have a workforce that reflects a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. This diversity fuels creativity, innovation, and collaboration, making us stronger as a business and more adaptable in an ever-changing market.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about working with Marine Air Flow.

  • Do we need to sign a contract?

A small boat engine room ventilation system.

No, we understand that requirements are based around your own orders so we do not require contracts.

However we do require a 50% deposit prior to commencing any work and the final 50% is paid prior to dispatch. This allows us to keep our costs reasonable.

  • How many days do I have to pay?

A fan air diverter directing air to your desired location.

We don't run a typical accounts process.

50% deposit of the invoice is due prior to the project starting production, with the final 50%  due prior to dispatch.

  • Can I organise an alternative method of payment?

    Triangular air intake grilles

We accept credit card payments (on Australian orders only), direct deposits and international transfers.

All our export invoices are created in USD. Credit card payments for invoices in excess of $10,000 will incur a surcharge.

  • We have to run an account, can you help us?

    A60 survey class damper

Unfortunately to keep our prices competitive we don't run accounts.

However you can pre-order and pay off the invoice prior to despatch with prior arrangement.

  • What is your lead time?

    Air speed fan controller box

Lead times start at a little as 3 weeks pending on how complex the system is. We stock a large qty of product to be ready for quick turn around.

More complex systems require design time as well as your approval so this lead time for larger projects is longer. Currently it sits about about 8-10 weeks for one off projects.

However if you become a regular client with standardised orders we will work out an annual plan for supply to specific dates.

  • Can I use my own freight company?

Mixed flow fan system for small void spaces

Of course. This will require that you book your own freight and just use us as a pickup location.

Please be aware we are not open Fridays for freight pickups.

  • Will I have my own point of contact with Marine Air Flow?

High volume fan for an engine room

Typically, yes. You will deal with either Mark or Alex for design and development and once your project has gone into production if they are not available for some reason, our Operations team can help.

  • Can I contact you out of hours

    Air intake grille powdercoated black.

By all means, however you do need to be aware that we only respond or act upon enquiries between the hours of 6am to 4:30pm Monday~Thursday AEST.

We work a 4 day week and aren't in the factory on Fridays.

We are very protective of our 4 day week and have never had it present a challenge before.

  • If I am a manufacturer can you guarantee prices?

Air damper, duct and air diverter

Yes, we can offer fixed pricing based on agreed terms and minimum order quantities.

We're happy to work with boat manufacturers to establish a pricing structure that supports consistent supply and long-term planning for pre-designed equipment.

Once terms are confirmed and minimum volumes are agreed upon, we can lock in pricing to ensure cost certainty for the duration of the agreement.

  • Who Do You Work With

Mixed flow fans for your engine room.

We work with private boat owners, contractors, vessel manufacturers and even some military & police.

No matter if you have a recreational fishing boat or manufacture 50+ luxury boats per year, we can help.
