Man Accessible Fire Flaps to Protect Your Engine Room
As the name suggests this damper design allows accessible passage through the air duct via the damper into the engine room space. This concept allows the air out duct space to be utilised for personnel access. Dual purposing the air duct to also become a man access reduces total deck space needed which means these dampers may fit where you have limited deck area. Using these dampers will increase usable deck space for cargo, seating and other purposes.
The multi purposing of the air duct space also reduces build costs and improves deck flow and function.
If your vessel is in survey and you need to meet a certification level, we can also supply A-60 class certified air dampers
About Our Stainless Steel Man Access Dampers
- Designed and constructed of 3mm #316 Stainless Steel
- Designed to meet AMSA and A-60 ratings
- The damper finish is electro polished stainless steel
- Complete with stainless steel trims to protect engine room insulation from damage due to regular access
- Can be activated either manually or via fail safe approved 24 V DC Actuator.
