Thian and his wife Suswe came to Australia from Burma (Myanmar) as refugees in 2010. Thian filled a temporary position for us about 9 years ago, and the next week we offered him his mature age apprenticeship.
Thian drives from Logan every day which is at least a 30 minute commute each way. Despite this, he is always smiling and to our great delight won 2017 Apprentice Of The Year for the Gold Coast region. We are so proud of his achievements both at work and in life.
Thian and his family are very dedicated to his church and you can find them celebrating their faith every weekend at the Logan Burmese church on Sundays.
